Aged for nearly two years in oak barrels, handcrafted in France by boutique cooperages producing small batches of exceptional quality and unique character, followed by two years of bottle aging under controlled temperature.

Whether kept to mature for up to 20 years to reach its ideal expression, or enjoyed now in its youthful, fresh, and vibrant stage — Épico is, without a doubt, one of Mexico’s finest and most awarded wines.


The Man

A mystical being, capable of uniting the elements — the richness of the earth, the fury of the climate, and the soul of the fruit — creating a marvelous drink that allows communion with the ethereal, that lifts one toward the celestial, and that symbolizes divine blood, joy, sacred union, and life itself.

And so, through countless generations, guided by the yearning for perfection, man has poured the memory and wisdom of the ages into this magnificent liquid — one that is not merely a drink, but a legacy: prodigious, mysterious, sublime, Epic.

Where does this wine come from?

Grown entirely in the same vineyard at 1,960 meters above sea level, in the Valley of Santa María de Gallardo, Aguascalientes, this wine represents the ultimate expression of our terroir.

An elegant and highly complex wine, crafted exclusively from our finest vines, brought to what we consider perfect ripeness in our best soils—each distinct—contributing to its complexity and identity, ranging from poor and calcareous to more fertile clay and sandy soils. These conditions are always accompanied by an intense sun, with mild daytime temperatures and cool nights. Thanks to this combination, we obtain the truest expression of our soils, achieving optimal ripeness, fresh minerality, and brilliant acidity.

The vineyard is trained in the Espalier system, which maximizes the natural orientation of the vines and facilitates their care and management. Harvesting is done by hand, at the first light of dawn, selecting only healthy, fully ripe clusters. Grapes are placed in boxes holding no more than 15 kilograms to prevent breakage and premature fermentation.

The grapes are harvested only when full phenolic ripeness is achieved — the most valuable compounds found in the seeds and skins — along with the balanced maturity of sugars and acids, mostly concentrated in the pulp.
